You can then apply a piece of clean cloth soaked in cold water, submerge the burnt area in a full bucket or sink, or place the affected area under a steady, gentle stream of cold water. Once the skin is cooled down, clean and cover the burn with loose dressing.

An anesthetic cream like Lidum 4% immediately relieves pain and itching due to these minor injuries and it also offers relief for insect bites, skin irritations and hair removal as well. Make sure that you choose an anesthetic cream that has a good list of ingredients, such as natural aloe vera and 4% Lidocaine, which is a powerful anesthetic that blocks pain by numbing the pathway where pain signals travel.
